Hello. My name is Julia. My family consists of me (Julia) and my husband Simon. We have two sons Ashley, Ed and a daughter Katrina. Our extendable family are our two dogs Jess and Cookie the Labradors and Blue our little frenchie, along with our two rescue ponies called Peaches and Emmaline, and our very friendly sheep.
Ashley is 25 years old and he has Dravet, a life limiting condition along with CHD2 and autism. He is unsteady on his feet and suffers from bouts of heightened emotions with challenging behaviour.
Ashley’s Meadow was in part an attempt to create a safe space for Ashley. This initiative was created as a result of going on holidays that fell short because they couldn’t cater for all of our family needs.
